Cities, towns and villages throughout the region have come to rely on our attorneys as both general and special counsel, and in all aspects of municipal governance.
In particular, we advise clients on SEQRA and DEC regulatory compliance, comprehensive planning, drafting local laws/ordinances, the drafting and negotiation of PILOT agreements, the formation and management of special improvement districts, and other aspects economic development. In these endeavors, we advise planning boards, zoning boards and building officers during permit and application review.
We guide clients in resolving and/or avoiding contract or construction disputes, and counsel them to maintain compliance with competitive bidding requirements, municipal referendum requirements, prevailing wage laws, and state and federal procurement statutes.
Our attorneys are also experienced enforcing building and zoning codes and prosecuting criminal violations.
