Community

The members of our firm are deeply rooted in the communities we serve, sharing their triumphs, standing alongside them through challenges, and supporting them every step of the way.

Because of that connection, efforts to strengthen our communities and improve the lives of those who call them home are causes we are proud to champion. What follows are just a few of the ways we have been honored to give back.

Troutbeck Symposium 2025

May 1, 2025

Last night MBW partner Cara Whalen attended the Troutbeck Symposium. At Troutbeck, history is never just the past – it’s a living conversation whereby the establishment is carrying on their legacy as a gathering place for creative thinkers, writers, and changemakers.

This student-led collaboration brings together over 150 students from regional public, independent, middle, and high schools who have spent the past year uncovering untold local history. Through documentaries, art exhibitions, and powerful conversations, they will share research on Troutbeck and the pivotal role of the Spingarn Family in the Civil Rights Movement and the Harlem Renaissance.

It is MBW’s privilege to support Troutbeck in honoring the voices of the past and present – renewing stories that shaped our region and celebrating the next generation of storytellers and historians.
